borderline personality dissorder
borderline personality dissorder is a psychological condition charectorized by a disturbance in personality function. this condition is typically associated by unusual instability in moods and black and white thinking. black and white thinking means you either see something all good or all bad. resulting in episodes of unstable relationships, identity, and behavior.this leaves a person unable to relate to other. a person could crave loving relationships and push people away at the same time.they have trouble accepting gray areas. people with borderline personallity have a distorted view ofthemself. they see their self as flawed or even evil.people with BPD also may feel at times that they are invisible or worthless.BPD patients may also feel that they are being victimized and everyone is out to get them. they may feel like a small child lost in the mall self image often changes frequently. this may lead to frequent changes in jobs, friendship and goals. depression, substance abuse, anxiety dissorder, and obsessive compulsive dissorder sometimes coincides with BPD. generally it affects people over the age of eighteen, although sometimes .it's found among adolesence.syptoms usually start during adolesence but come on fullfledge in adulthood.abput 69-75% with BPD self mutilate. they may think that they are the enemy and feel the need to harm onself. suicide rates are high among people with BPD, with suicide rates as high as 8-10%.more symptoms of BPD involve modd swings, impulsive self damaging behavior, fear of abandoment, agressive behavior.anger problems, paranoia, lossing sense of reality.about every two in one hundred people have BPD. Scientist have not found the cause of BPD. they believe it could run in families. people with a history of childhood abuse, death of a parent, or childhood neglect could play a role in getting the dissorder.
